About 20 folks from Leisure World gathered at Jalisco's Restaurant last evening. Unfortunately Fran and I both forgot to bring a camera. Food was great, service excellent, company outstanding. Another very successful activity for those of us who inhabit Leisure World the year-round.
Notice the modification of how the activity calendar is displayed. You can still click on it to enlarge it for easier reading. It will appear ahead of blogged news items for now. Comments?

Hey, when you get to be our age, you deserve more notoriety, so Leisure World, here is some more pictures of Mary's birthday.... We did have a great time.
Mary's birthday dinner started at Lin's in Weslaco. Joannie tried some things that were different - "Baby Octopus" and she was still smiling afterwards....
Back to the park like Mary said, we had cupcakes, Ice cream and some candy and even though our bellies were full from Lin's, we consumed it all. (Mary had a little trouble blowing out the fake candle)...
Our dear friend Frank Lawless played a few tunes for us, even Happy Birthday...
Mary enjoyed the cards and gift items she received.
Happy Birthday to Mary.
Now she is just as old as I am. Ha Ha...

Tuesday, April 15, fifteen friends from Leisure World attended a luncheon at Lin's to celebrate the birthday of Mary Gainer, hosted by Stan Gainer and Phyllis Connett. After lunch the group returned to the Activity Room where Ruth Elliott had set tables for ice cream and cake.
If you see walking, flashing lights in the park it is not an Alien from outer space. It is Mary Gainer with her walking stick that Ruth Elliott gave to her.
Those who were unable to attend due to other commitments and/or illness were greatly missed.

Everyone returned from Lin's to the Activity Room for fellowship, ice cream and cake.
Several joined us at that could not attend the luncheon.
